Ongoing Process

Efforts in Bi'in and Ramallah
WELCOME,

International Members of Peace - Palestine seeks to engage a diverse community in visiting locals and discussing matters relating to human rights, occupation, and steps towards peace. We wish to open our homes to groups or individuals who want to understand life and politics in the West Bank. We believe that making our voices reach internationally will cultivate more discussion and insight to how we can build a broader understanding.

Friends of Freedom and Justice Bil'in/Ramallah is a Non-Profit recognized by the Palestinian Authority. In the past FFJ and close community members have used extensive documentation and media to portray their story that soon spread all around the world. Bil'in, a small village bordering the Green Line, has a specific history in struggles relating to land confiscation and the economic and social struggles as a result of that. For the past 12 years, every Friday locals take part in a peaceful demonstration sometimes using spontaneous and creative techniques to gather the attention of the media, eventually putting Bil'in on the map.

Continuing Projects

The process including Santa and avatar costumes, speaking out against international politics, and the dedication and determination to portray a peaceful resistance after so many years.

After Iyad traveled around Europe, North America, and parts of Asia giving talks at university and other institutions he returned home realizing there was a need for work on the ground to be done. Friends of Freedom and Justice are now focusing their time and effort to refurbish the land, fund-raise for tuition fees for aspiring university students, and build local programs to support collective traumas children are suffering from Israeli night raids.

Israeli activists and foreigners have been witnessing and participating in the demonstrations since 2012. The growing interest and compassion for the community inspired us to develop a more thorough program for those willing to specifically invest their time and energy to the daily challenges of the Palestinian people. Links to our fundraisers and agricultural proposals can be found on the FFJ website.
