Due to the worsening conditions of Israel's 50 year [ongoing] occupation, many farms providing for local communities have been destroyed as well as swallowed up by illegal land grabs. Over 1,000 olive trees have been destroyed as of late in Bil'in along with more than a million throughout the west bank since the start of Israel's occupation in 1967.
